Transition to Fall '05
It's still steamy in Jacksonville, Florida and just the thought of long
sleeves and boots sends sweat dripping down our backs! Retailers waste
no time clearing out summer stock for winter woolies even in the dog
days of August and September.
Here's a glance of some fall trends we can easily (and inexpensively)
incorporate into our hot Florida wardrobe.
Season's top 10 (for the real girl):
1. The classic white shirt.
2. Velvet - from camisoles to blazers to suits.
3. Men's wear - pinstripe fabrics and dark grays. Skirts and suits.
4. 60's peasant dressing - tiered skirts, embroidered and embellished
anything.
5. Jewelry - fun, funky and anything chunky.
6. Shoes are flat worn with socks and knit stockings and boots are
back in all shapes and colors.
7. Cropped, wide-legged trousers with boots.
8. Fitted jackets in tweed and boucle.
9. Cocktail dresses in 50's style with flouncy skirts.
10. Belts - cinched waists or belted sweaters.
